School's Out For Summer...
This past weekend we journeyed home to Missouri to attend my youngest sister Kaylyn's (or Auntie Kiki as Jay calls her) high school graduation.
I'm just going to go ahead and say that I'm probably one of the best big sisters of all times as I spent multiple hours hand gluing on 300+ sequins onto the top of her mortar board ONE AT A TIME. I will admit that it was worth all of the time and effort (and glue-stained fingers) and her hat was the prettiest one at graduation.
On the way back to Memphis we stopped (as we often do) at Lambert's for some dinner. It was a popular spot and we ended up having to wait about 40 minutes for a table, during which time Jay had a chance to ride the mechanical horse...
...and drive the covered wagon
The food was fantastic (as it always is) and the atmosphere was very fun (where else can you see a lady get hit in the face with a flying roll because she chose the most inopportune time to stand up?)
P.S--this is their idea of a "salad"
I hope everyone had wonderful weekends, and congratulations to all of the graduates (especially Auntie Kiki)!
